Cornwell was an Investigator with the 970th CIC Detachment of the U.S Army. Cornwell personally examined a wingless 300 foot long cigar shaped field propulsion craft which was made during WW II by
Germany for transporting materials and personnel to the moon.

Richard Cornwell was interested in military history and participated in numerous battle reenactments. The above photo of Cornwell was made at one of these events a few years ago.
